Well, not Kitty, because she explains things, in English, and is wonderful like that, and doesn't expect me to read her mind in order to find out that "here, don't you think this would make a good gift for your girlfriend when you get back to your own dimension?" really means "I have a crush on you." The rest of you? Signs. I mean it. Little translatey signs.

Lorna? How much begging and pleading and other forms of bribery will it take to get you to make that fancy dinner I didn't want you to make around this time last year? Because I'll do a full grovelling Greek chorus.

We make a perfect amount of sense. I could have told you she had a crush on you if you had mentioned bracelets.

Now, boys - boys do not make sense. Boys think dirty socks are funny and do not see perfectly obvious gestures as what they really mean.

There is no secret Girl-language. If there was, Doug would speak it.

Of course, he might, and I suppose no one besides me would ever know. he does seem to understand what *I* mean most of the time.
