Had a question

I had an idea for a . . . I dunno what you'd call it, really, but since the summer term hasn't started yet I had some extra time, and I heard something and was curious about it so I'm trying to find stuff out. Maybe "independent study" except it's not for a grade, or anything.
I'm used to looking stuff up on the Internet (Google is my friend!) because Mom and Dad didn't teach from too many textbooks, so I found a couple of articles already, but then I figured, this is an actual school, they've got an actual library, maybe there's some stuff like that actually on the premises.
And then I figured I've got a quick way to ask for help, so I might as well. I'm looking for stuff similar to the articles I've already found, except that a bunch of those articles emphasize the absence of a positive male role model and/or the role of homophobia, and neither of those are really applicable.
And I'm still figuring out the questions I'm trying to ask, so I'm sorry if this is kinda vague. Just . . . if somebody could do me a favor and see if they know any resources similar to the ones I've already found, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
And, um, to the teachers: this is sort of a . . . just a personal project, really, I'm not looking for supervision or . . . I dunno, anything like that. Just information. It's kind of informal.
Man, I need to stop thinking about stuff so late at night, it's gonna play havoc with my sleeping habits. Or else I should figure out if I really can have a dupe awake and looking stuff up while I'm asleep.

Interesting reading, there. I think I'm impressed by your initiative.
I still have a bunch of my women's studies textbooks, from college, if you're interested.
(Stupid name; it should be gender studies. Historical artifact.)

Yes, ma'am, I am.
When's a good time for me to come pick them up? And can you show me which parts'll help most? I might end up reading 'em straight through anyway, but I'd like to start with the stuff I need to know most.
