Y'know, I think Friday mornings are my favorite. Two very cool classes in a row. (Even if it is a relative measure. I actually like all my classes, which is good, because the last time I was in an actual school I didn't, and I was kind of worried.)
But apparently banging inexpertly on the drums is a good way to get warmed up for learning about myths. Who knew?
Everybody who doesn't know yet, I think Ms. Blaire needs help eating her fudge . . . :) When would be a good time to go look at possible light show stuff? After dark or something?
And speaking of the barbecue, hey, Lorna, or anybody, I'm pretty sure we need to make a grocery run for more meat and corn-on-the-cob and possibly pie stuff--that is, if we need, for example, sugar or vanilla for the pie, since we're, uh, kind of out of those now. :) And if anybody had any other special food requests get 'em in while you can. I was mostly thinking of having about the same menu as last time, but if it's grillable I can grill it, so let me know.
. . . Darnit, I knew I forgot something this week, it's been bugging me all day. Hey, John, if you're reading this, I'm really sorry I forgot to ask you where to send the book. D'you have a mailing address, or I think you said something about giving it to somebody here who could get it to you? Can get it in the mail or whatever as soon as I hear from you, and again, sorry for forgetting.

We can go tomorrow, I suppose. I can drive us so long as we get a vehicle. I'm guessing it'll be me, and you and "Skip" at the least, right?

Yup. Good old Skippy. He didn't get the looks or the brains but he still doesn't mind carrying bags. :)

My favorite kind of guy.

You like 'em homely, dumb, and evil? No accounting for taste, I guess. :)

Heh. Useful is what I was thinking. Besides he's identical to you and you're not all that ugly.
*doubletakes* Wait, Skippy is evil?
x_crowdofone
June 28 2003, 23:29:11 UTC
Well, of course he's evil, why do you think I named him Skippy? He's got plans for world domination and everything.

Boys. *sighs* It's always something, isn't it?

Well, I keep telling him you can't take over the world with an army of trained attack hamsters, but I think I mentioned I got the brains in the family? Skippy wouldn't last a week in evil medical school.

Attack hamsters. Do they fight with sharpened toothpicks?
x_crowdofone
June 29 2003, 00:06:11 UTC
Mechanical pencils, actually.
They're supposed to have the usual "nasty big pointy teeth" too, but Skippy's allowance doesn't stretch as far as a breeding pair of hamsters.

I'm amazed that the evil dupe gets an allowance at all.

He steals my spare change. Comes out to about the same thing.

June 29 2003, 00:16:25 UTC
Ah. I see. How is it that you have a dupe with an enduring personality like that?

June 29 2003, 00:22:07 UTC
I don't, really, I just have an overactive imagination and too much time on my hands. :) When I was six I used to make up stories about a flying tyrannosaurus rex named Chris. Skippy is sort of like that, only with added self-deprecating mutant humor.

Bother, I was hoping for an evil dupe.

Well, I have a whole routine, actually. There's a different voice I do for Skippy, and I've been practicing an evil laugh for him (because you have to have an evil laugh.) Never left a dupe out long enough to grow an Evil Beard, though.

Well nowadays goatees aren't so much evil as they are a good was to look like a disaffected member of generation x.

I'll keep that in mind. Makes it a lot easier to set up for the routine, for one thing. :)

There are lots of things that evil overlords should avoid...in fact...hang on.

Oh, cool, thanks.

Don't mention it. Really.
