Hey, music class people!

Ms. Blaire suggested we could turn ourselves into a band and be her opening act for the concert--I don't have to say I think it's a cool idea, I dunno about the rest of you.

If we are going to be a band, though, we'll need a name. Anybody else have any suggestions? Here's what I've come up with:

They Might Be Mutants
The Uncanny X-Band
Kathleen Turner Overdrive
Sonic Death Monkey
Jono and the Chipmunks

Okay, maybe not Jono and the Chipmunks, but it had to be said. :)

Jono and the Chipmunks? There's obviously something I'm missing here.

And I vote for They Might Be Mutants. Because They Might Be Giants is one of the coolest bands ever.

Ms. Blaire gave us music analysis assignments a while ago. I got techno with lots of percussion because I'm learning drums, Terry got Norah Jones because she sings, and Jono got Alvin and the Chipmunks . . . well, mostly I think because she thought it would be funny. (Which it was, for almost everybody but Jono.) I think he nuked the CDs with his glowy chest thing after he turned in the assignment.

Well, yeah, but you play really well when you're less than amused, and I figure you're a shoo-in for lead guitar so I'm just doing my part. :)
