Sunday matinee somewhere that isn't the city so I can drive, and we get something to eat afterward?

Cavalry charges! Piles and piles of dead Orcs! Dernhelm! And hobbitses, precious, mustn't forget the nice hobbitses. Merry and Pippin get to kick serious butt in this one, if they're being as true to the book as the other two were, and Sam just gets to be all kinds of cool. This is the one where Sam became my favorite character.

I'll see what I can do about the siege weapons. Have built a catapult once already, after all . . . :)

Ents! Nasty terror tactics with severed heads! The Lord of the Nazgul getting his butt handed to him by a girl! Eagles! Aragorn kicking butt and taking names! Suicidal arrogant dorks! Saruman being evil! (which I heard isn't in the movie, which sucks because whoa, Christopher Lee, but it was fun in the book.)

Battering ram, check. Want a castle you can then have fun storming, as the expression goes? :D

You say "getting his butt handed to him by a girl" like it's a bad thing... *grin*

A castle would be nice, but it wouldn't have to be mine. It's probably more fulfilling to lay siege to somebody else's castle.

No, I say it like it's a good thing. I thought it was great. First time I read the book, right after I made a note of "dwimmerlaik" as something cool to call people when I was mad at them, I started mentally pointing and laughing at the guy, because he was so about to get his rear served to him au gratin. Darn those ancient prophecies and their gender bias, huh? :D
