Man oh man did they do a good job. I mean, Minas Tirith . . . and then the Rohirrim cavalry charge, and Merry and Pippin . . . and Sam. Holy cow, how much does Sam rock?
Go see the movie.
Man, I can't believe it's going to be a whole year until the extended edition comes out. Now that's gonna be some kind of impressive.
. . . y'know, it's hard to believe my parents are actually going to be here tomorrow. I wonder if they've seen the movie yet? Maybe they'll want to go while they're here. That would be cool.

Sam rocks much. He is awesome, and to be literal, many rocks to the head.
It was a fantastic movie, even if it resulted in very odd dreamlets about Mister Marko working for Sauron.
Oh, and fellbeasts and oliphaunts, and trolls and Gollum.
Gollum. Gollum.
