So that means there's no chance whatsoever I'll be able to get out of wearing a tie? Just checking.
And congrats, you two. So are you gonna be nontraditional with the last name, or is the Doc gonna have to get herself a new journal login in a couple weeks?
. . . geez, a couple weeks? That's all? Well, good, I won't be dragged along on too many mall raids that way. I and my dresser drawers thank you. :)

No chance whatsoever, Jamie.
Non-traditional, definitely. Especially since my last name isn't really my last name and all.

Well, I just thought I'd make sure. And I can't think of a better occasion on which to wear a stylized noose, so I won't even complain too audibly. ;)
So are you gonna go with Mr. Kinross, then, or just both keep your own, however many that ends up being?

Never mind the stylized noose... I'm waiting on full Scottish regalia here, myself. I hope she appreciates it.
And I suspect the latter...

Well, women seem to have this universal Pavlovian reaction to kilts, so I'm sure you'll do fine. I reserve the right to point and laugh at the lacy throat thing though, because I always thought those looked silly. And I might have to work up a repertoire of sporran jokes.

I drew the line at lace. Ordered a nice, non-lacey shirt to go under the jacket.

I have to admit, "Moira Morrow" would just be cruel.

Oh, I dunno, I hear there's good money to be made in seashore seashells sales.

I had a hard time even reading that.
Also? You and Rahne. Guess what your final is.

Ten-page essay on the origin of the sous-chef?

Oooh, that's a good one. I'll keep that in mind for when I have time to grade them and I'm not planning a wedding for a billion and a half people.

. . . So what you're trying to get at here is, on this occasion, less with the writing of essays and more with the helping make mass quantities of food of a quality suitable for the celebration of a life-changing occasion for two people I have a lot of respect for.
The tie wasn't bad enough already?

I like to keep you on your toes. Besides you'll never get a better lesson in how to work with caterers.
You don't have to wear a tie in the kitchen, how's that?

I accept the no-tie-in-the-kitchen compromise.
Can I unnerve them with synchronized lecturing if they screw up?

We'll see. Depends if they can keep working while unnerved.

None. At all. Also, jacket. And nice trousers. And am gonna make sure you match. And that we match.
Wheeeeee!

Yeah, I thought that'd be how it works.
Tell you what, if we do a separate expedition from the big fashion swarming, and if you try on lots of interesting dresses before deciding on one, I won't even complain. :)

Sounds like a plan to me.
