My God, it's full of packing peanuts . . .
For "it," read "everything in the new room that can possibly be made to hold packing peanuts, and then be rigged to make the peanuts explode when their container is opened.." My desk drawers. My dresser. My closet.
. . . My shoes.
I'm starting to get very, very paranoid. Also, snowed in. And, appropriately, sheepish. I think somebody got early warning on the room-change and had some fun.
A lot of fun, actually.
. . . DOUG! How the heck did you find my secret cookie stash and rig it with packing peanuts?
Good God, man, you've been practicing. :)

A good prankster never reveals his sources, roomie mine. :)

That's okay, I think I can guess.
Man, they're getting sneaky. I'm so proud.

I am too. I'd like to think I've taught them a decent amount.
And don't you think Mister Summers would be so proud at all the real-world practice we give those principles from his engineering class? ;-)

I think we should ask for extra credit. :)

I'm game. Between the toaster, the image inducers, and the compressed air canisters (which is how I worked it, by the by, for future pranking reference), I'd say we've amply demonstrated good engineering practices.

Well, the image inducers were Doc McCoy's show, really. I just came up with the idea and helped him put together and install the units, and, um, laughed a heck of a lot.
But you deserved it after that thing with the clothes. Took me days to come up with a suitable response for that.

Hey, as Mister Summers tells us, half of engineering is in identifying the problem and coming up with a solution. ;-)
And you're still up on me, because it took me this long to come up with a proper response to the image inducer thing. :) But I'd like to think the wait made it more unexpected and effective that way.

Definitely.
I'm still finding little explosive packets all over the place. How many of these did you make?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

If mysterious and unknown persons dump packing peanuts all over you while you sleep, it'll be just what you deserve.

Of course, anyone wanting to do that now would know I'd go looking for your first anyway.
*evil grin*

August 25 2004, 20:18:35 UTC
Yeah, but you'd go looking for me first anyway, so it's not like anything's changed.

*LOL*
Point! But I'd know who let you in my room anyway.

See, that gets a little trickier, because it could also be my ex-roommate the little green Oreo-buzzed blur.

August 25 2004, 20:49:27 UTC
Aaah. See, I'm not too worried on that front.
We have an understanding. ;)

I see I need to sit him down for the "but it's extra fun to prank your parents because they'll always love you anyway" talk. :)

Go for it. :)

Time to get the net. I wonder how many packages of Oreos those two kids had. Each.

How many were in the cupboard this morning?
I know. I keep count. ;)

August 25 2004, 21:07:25 UTC
Four? I think? Plus whatever was in Lorna's stash.
I asked them if I should read anything into them being that happy to get their own room, and they started throwing things at me. Good aim, too.

Three packs of Double Stufs.

Damn, no wonder they're running around like crack-ferrets.

Miles tried to beg from my secondary stash too. I cut him off.

Good for you. Tomorrow's gonna be interesting--I remember my first cookie-crash.

Someone had to be strong.
They're young, they'll recover quickly.

Heh. Celebrating the new digs, yes.
I'll come over. Odds are stomach aches are on the horizon...
(Yes. They do have good aim. Heh.)
