Spell all broken? Yes? Everybody back in their right minds? Good. Time for a little vocab quiz. There's just one question.
What word fits the definition "force someone to perform sexually against their will?"
Well, I guess there's another question.
What the hell were you thinking, you twisted bitch?

No he damned well doesn't, because there is no way in hell he did anything worse than put it away somewhere until he had a chance to ask her how to get rid of it. I know Doug, and whatever I was stupid enough to assume in the heat of the moment yesterday, there is no way he used it, asked for it to be made, or anything of the kind.
Amanda, on the other hand, intended to force someone to feel something they wouldn't feel on their own--and judging from the way things fell out, to act on that feeling. And I gotta think the only reason you're defending her is you didn't get hit with it.

Take a deep breath, Jamie, and calm down. Just a little.
I understand why you're upset. I would be feeling rather murderous in your position, too, I can guarantee it.
However, Amanda's recieving her due punishment over the matter, and that's that. The best thing we can all do now is move on and make with the happy before Manuel chokes on all the bitter angst.

I'll try. No guarantees. And she'd better stay clear of me.
Kitty and I are going out tonight anyway, that'll help.
Christ, what a mess.

Well I'm sorry if I'm not looking for somebody to lash out at right now. You can be upset, but fuck, try to pull your head out of your ass for a moment and look at the situation from a perspective other than "Jamie the victim".

Gee, thanks for the permission.
And I tell you what. As soon as you pull your head out of your ass and stop blaming the victim, I'll stop.

Who the fuck was I blaming? When did I say whose fault it was?
And here I was thinking I was just trying to postpone the taking somebody out back and having them shot, until we knew exactly what had happened.

What, did I misunderstand when you said that if it's Amanda's fault, it's Doug's too?
Yes.

I said that if we're going to go ahead and throw the blame at Amanda without all the details, then it's only fair we throw it at Doug as well.
Right now, we don't know what happened. We don't have any proof to place all the blame on anybody. But if you insist on playing the "guilty until proven innocent" game, then damnit, it will apply to everyone.

I know that Amanda made Magic Roofies for use on at least one person. And that's quite frankly enough for me. Whether she did it to screw with people or just because she was bored, or whatever, that doesn't matter--the fact is she decided to play God with somebody, and she doesn't get to do that. You don't see the Professor messing with people's heads just because he can.

And because you're pissed off and hurt, that makes assumptions okay? Yes, she fucked up by making the potion in the first place, but don't go making assumptions just because you need somebody to throw the blame at.

What assumptions am I making?
-Amanda made a love potion and gave it to someone. Fact. And maybe it's an assumption that she intended for it to be used, but if she didn't, water and food coloring look real pretty in a glass bottle and don't have all those nasty side-effects.
-Love potions are designed to screw with people's heads and make them love someone they otherwise wouldn't. Fact.
I dunno, the most surreal thing about this situation is that it looks like about a half-dozen people around here were as good as raped, and you're asking me to be considerate of the feelings of the person who did it.

Considering your willingness to throw all the blame on her, I'd say you're assuming that she's the one who hit your girlfriend with the stuff. Otherwise there should be _two_ people to blame here, not just Amanda.
Oddly enough, I need a little more proof than "She made it, so she must have used it!" Especially when most of the other stuff we know points to the contrary (like, y'know, the fact that she _gave_ it to Doug, or the fact that she was one of the targets). Get pissed and lynch her later (or give her a second chance. I hear we do that here.) but wait until we know exactly where the blame lies.

We know where part of it lies, unless everyone involved who mentioned her making the thing was wrong or lying.
I don't think it was quite rape. It made us feel; it didn't make us do -- unless I just had a smaller dose. I'm still not at all sure her being affected means anything, but her stopping it might, and except for her knowing about it we've no more reason to think she was in Doug's room than anyone else. It still seems more like something she'd do than Doug to me, but if neither of them makes sense for other reasons, I really want to know who used it.
There are quite a few people here who can do things to other people's minds. Most of them, as far as I know, don't make a habit of doing that or of being cruel for no reason, at least not with anything but words --
*frowns*
There was the time with your back. But a love potion wouldn't make any sense for a telepath, even one... acting oddly.
Well, anyhow, I'd like to know who here is willing to do that, besides the one who made it, and if using it was an accident somehow I'll be glad, but I'd still like to know how it happened.
