Spell all broken? Yes? Everybody back in their right minds? Good. Time for a little vocab quiz. There's just one question.
What word fits the definition "force someone to perform sexually against their will?"
Well, I guess there's another question.
What the hell were you thinking, you twisted bitch?

I am singling no-one out here, but let me spell this out for all of you:
Amanda did something stupid and wrong is being punished. Arguing about how stupid or wrong she was is pointless, but I will say that for now, I am content that she realises the scope of her error.
As for her punishment: For the moment, I'm declining to say more here, as the final details have to worked out with parties outside of this school, and parts of it are simply not my place to disclose to the student body. Amanda or the other parties may chose to tell you, but I will not. If this is a problem for some of you, then that's just tough. It's a rough old life.
Amanda has almost certainly lost many of your trust and respect, which is entirely fair enough. I'm sure she will be endeavouring to win them back over the coming weeks and months, and it may be that you decide that she never can. That's your right.
But I would strongly urge you all to consider that Amanda's error, while massive and frightening, was not the first error of scale to be made by students or faculty here, and frankly, the potential consequences were rather more slight than those made by others (I am assured by my sister that the effects would have worn off in a short time, anyway - not information you had, but I'm informing you now), to whom rather more courtesy was extended in the aftermath.
If you are angry and upset, I have already pointed out you have members of the faculty, or a professional counsellor you can talk to, or private journals, or a number of options beyond public vilification, which solves nothing for anyone.
I trust I'm not going to have to repeat myself.
