I knew I was forgetting something.

See Angie's post, I got maybe fifteen minutes more than she did, I think, and that only because either I'm hallucinating or I really am learning to sleep in shifts.
I was going to mention this, uh . . . well, Monday, but, y'know. Anyway, if there's anyone who's still interested, I got about eight kids--a couple of Kitty's ballet classmates, some of their friends from the high school, and I happened to mention it to Mr. Roth the other day on the phone and he said he'd draft some of his grandchildren--interested in figuring out how to improve human/mutant relations, and I figured the best place to start would be by getting to know each other, so there's a thing at the Coffeequake in Salem Center around noonish on Saturday, first round's on me. Should just be mostly social with some brainstorming about places to picket, but hey, making friends is a good thing.

Hey, chickpea. So long as they serve tea there too, I'm there. Aw, heck, I'm there even if I have to drink... gulp... coffee.
Yay, making friends.

Coffee's good for you, poppet. Besides, maybe they'll have mocha, and that isn't coffee so much as it is chocolatey goodness.

Coffee is gross. Ew.

I don't speak coffeeshop--Angie, remind me to bring that up when we gang up on Doug later ;)--but they do a pretty good cup of cocoa. Marshmallows, whipped cream, and cinnamon. Glad you're coming.

But you sure speak my language. Glad I'm coming too. Thanks for the opportunity.

I don't either.
I will write that down. I .. fear that Doug, if motivated properly could talk us out of letting him go, and that worries me a little.
If I can push my power when worried, he could too.
I have to stop thinking about these things.

I didn't think about that. Wonder if he could?
Eh, I'm from Kansas, we out-stubborn tornadoes. Doug is a lot less convincing than a tornado, he just has a bigger conversational range than "Get out of the way now unless you want to see what three counties over looks like from half a mile up." :)
